Achromatic Pixels

This shot was mostly about trying out my new Fujinon 35mm lens with something "up close" (lest someone claim it's not macro!). The graffiti has been painted on what's left of a huge abandoned blast furnace.

Some architecture experimentation with my new Fuji X Pro 1. Despite having to make some perspective tweaks in lightroom (I was at street level) I'm still happy with how sharp this is. I can't wait get the the 18mm lens!

This photo was an accident. I was trying to shoot something from across a road and the bus drove in between. When I looked at it closer though I came to like the forward and backward reflections of the cityscape.

I was very pleased with this as it was taken handheld walking in the garden.

On many levels this isn't a very good shot. The reason I kept it, and then ultimately, uploaded it, was that it came out of the camera with a look like it was a charcoal drawing. What you see here had a little more SilverEfex work on it but it's close. Somehow looking at it like that made me see it differently and to like it more.

A shot taken years ago on a compact, post some Silver Efex tweaking I came to like it again.

A crumbling farmhouse that caught my eye. Unfortunately it was taken on an old compact so it's not as sharp as it might be. Still, I like the mood.
